The Rite of Prayer for Offspring

Adds a new psychic ritual — The Rite of Prayer for Offspring.

Through this psychic ritual, you beseech Horax to bestow a Sacred Child under His blessing. The child shall take root within any eligible woman, regardless of her will. Costs 3 Shards, cooldown 30 days. Unlocked after researching Advanced Psychic Rituals. Ritual quality must exceed 60% to succeed. If quality falls short, a Metal Horror is implanted into the mother.

Sacred Child

- Always female, born perfectly healthy - Genes copied entirely from the mother, including xenogenes - Born with the Horax's Favor trait: boosts Global Learning Factor, Move Speed, Immunity Gain Speed, Injury Healing Factor; reduces Incoming Damage Factor - On birth, the player chooses one active ability from five Creepjoiner abilities - Born with 1 charge of Death Refusal - Normally, one ritual produces exactly one Sacred Child

Mother

- Suffers no Moving or Manipulation penalty during pregnancy - Will never miscarry naturally - Gains 1 charge of Death Refusal on successful ritual

Target Requirements

- Must be female - Must be adult - Must be fertile - Must not be already pregnant - Unqualified targets are rejected as vessels

Compatibility Notes

- With NewRatkinPlus, ratkins use animal-like birth code and may produce multiple infants per birth. Only one is the Sacred Child; the rest follow normal birth flow (may be stillborn or weak)

Development Status

This mod is still in development. Most core features are implemented, but it remains a work-in-progress. Future plans: - Allow infertile pawns to conceive and give birth through unnatural means - Add a Mod Settings menu in the next version
