Medieval sieges. The enemy demands a tribute first. Pay and nothing ever spawns. Refuse and they raise a war camp on your map, under their own banner, and build their siege engines on site.
The construction time is your first window.
Trailer
The host is a real house army in its own liveries, and the siege train scales with threat points.
-A battering ram pushed to your gate.
-A siege tower that goes over your walls instead of through them, double walls included.
-Manned trebuchets reloaded from a boulder pile. Sappers planting petards on a second wall while the ram hits the front.
-A named captain with a gilded helm commanding from the rear.
Kill the crews and the engines stop dead. Kill the captain and the whole siege routs.
Paying works, thats the problem. Every payment raises the next demand and brings the same banner back sooner. Routing a siege buys you a long quiet instead.
Everything has counterplay: raid the camp before the engines stand, set the wood on fire, steal the boulders, shoot the petard before it blows, snipe the captain.
Compatibility and Performance
- Requires Medieval Overhaul (trebuchets, banners, stakes).
- Faction, warband size and composition use the same rolls as vanilla raids.
- Camping tent supported, adds tents to the camp.
- Works alongside defense mods and other siege or raid mods.
- Safe to add to an existing save.
You can change almost everything in the settings: ultimatum, tribute amount, faction memory, engine thresholds, sapper and trebuchet counts, captain rout.
